URBAN STAGE – FUORISALONE 2023

At the Fuorisalone 2023 it was presented the Urban Stage installation, a project by Parisotto + Formenton Architetti, hosted in the courtyard of honor of the University of Milan for the INTERNI Design Re_Evolution exhibition-event.

The set-up outlines two rest areas conceived as ideal oases in the excitement of Design Week. Two monochromatic islands, designed around the material and its characteristics of tactility and color, characterized by a contemporary design made up of essential lines and juxtaposed volumes.

Arranged with geometric compositions of monolithic-looking benches and vases, from the Campiello collection designed by Studio63, they are spatially defined as “open-air monochrome rooms” – horizontal platforms and low partitions made with Querini and Tondo three-dimensional tiles designed by Elisa Ossino.

The design of the space, as well as the new products that are presented on this stage en plein air, are inspired by essential and primary forms that enhance the materiality, characteristic of CIMENTO®, in its almost lithic connotations.

The dusty colors, given by the natural pigments, are declined in a fresh and desaturated green and in a warm burnt brick, paired with the horizontal surface, the vertical walls and the system of seats and vases.

All these elements, thanks to the different surface finishes and three-dimensional effects, play with light and shadows as in a metaphysical composition. The lighting is made by the QU company.
